Teen started an argument over the way to treat dogs, police said. It ended with him being accused of murder.
An 18-year shot and killed a person over an argument about the way to treat dogs, according to police and media reports.
The shooting happened on Dec. 30, but police arrested Jordan Eaton, 18, on Dec. 30, according to KSAT. He is accused of killing Valentin Gonzales IV.
Police in San Antonio, Texas, said Gonzales’ wife said Eaton approached them at their apartment complex and started arguing about how they treated their dogs. Eaton also lived at the complex and the group knew each other for several months.
Eaton pulled a gun from his pants’ waistband and fired a shot at the woman, according to KSAT.
Gonzales then got in a fight with Eaton to try and stop him from shooting anyone else, according to the report.
That is when the suspect fired several more shots, including one that hit Gonzales in the stomach. Gonzales died at the hospital.
Eaton fled the scene and later turned himself in at a police station.
