Law enforcement officials in Texas have announced that an 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of his underage girlfriend months ago.
On Nov. 20, 2023, officers responded to a park in Frisco after receiving a report of suspicious activity, according to the Frisco Police Department.
At the scene, police said they found a 17-year-old female deceased in a pond.
Officials believe the teen victim drowned, and her death was ruled a suicide.
After a months-long investigation, authorities determined the victim’s boyfriend, Zander Tashman, helped his girlfriend kill herself.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for Tashman and the teen was arrested on Feb. 18.
