Florida Man Allegedly Sexually Battered Woman He Met On Tinder After They Went On Miniature Golf Date: Police
A Florida man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman he met on Tinder following a group miniature-golf date that ended in a hotel room, police said.
WINK-TV reported Naples police arrested Corey Moir, 25, on a sexual battery charge this week after he allegedly assaulted a woman in a hotel room while her roommate was in the bathroom.
Police said Moir, his friend, the alleged victim and her roommate met up at a hotel to play mini golf and then the four headed up to their room around midnight.
According to authorities, Moir’s friend attempted to kiss the alleged victim’s roommate, but she rejected his advances and Moir's friend left.
Moir and his date began to kiss and when the situation escalated, the roommate went into the bathroom so the pair could be alone, police said.
The victim claimed that she told Moir she didn’t want to go further and claimed to investigators that he allegedly forced himself on her anyway while her roommate was out of the room, police said
The alleged victim was eventually able to get into the bathroom and she and the roommate phoned a family member to come get them at the hotel, police said.
They called 911 once they had left the hotel, and police used the Tinder profile to identify and arrest Moir.
Moir allegedly admitted he and the alleged victim had sex but told investigators it was consensual, according to police.
