Toddler Raped, Murdered And Found Drowned In A Motel Pool. 51-Year-Old Man Arrested As The Suspect.

A 2-year-old was found drowned in a motel pool, but police said it was murder. They also said the toddler was sexually assaulted.

Now, the suspect in the case has been arrested.

Around 2 a.m. on April 28, police in Enid, Oklahoma, responded to the OYO motel for a medical emergency. A caller reported a child drowning in the motel’s pool, according to Enid police.

When officers arrived, they found the 2-year-old child. The victim was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The toddler had injuries consistent with a sexual assault, according to Enid police.

Investigators identified Michael Geiger, 51, as a suspect in the case. Police unleashed a massive manhunt for the suspect and several hours later, he was found on top of a nearby building.

Police arrested Geiger and he was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape.

Authorities did not immediately say if Geiger had a prior relationship with the victim.
