Woman, Her Brother And Unborn Child All Murdered. Georgia Man Now Charged In Triple Homicide, Police Say.

A Georgia man was taken into custody after he allegedly killed his girlfriend, her brother, and her pregnant granddaughter, authorities said.

Jamie Leon Harris, 37, was charged with three counts of felony murder, three counts of aggravated assault, and one count of feticide in connection to the July 18 murders.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Schley County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a possible shooting at a Buena Vista residence around 1:30 a.m.

Inside the home, deputies found the bodies of Paula Kelly, 65, Charles Brown, 69, and Lara Bullard, 23.

“The three deceased and Harris all lived at the home,” the GBI said of the related victims.

Harris was taken into custody at the scene.

Police have not disclosed a possible motive for the crime.

“I actually went to school with some of the people in the family that were involved. So it’s just really sad. It’s heartbreaking,” family friend Viveca Jones told WTVM. “More than anything, it makes me worry about my kids and stuff and because I grew up here and nothing like that ever happened.”
