Ukraine Issues Stark Warning of World War 3 if They Lose War Against Russia
Ukraine's Prime Minister has issued a grave warning, asserting that the consequences of Ukraine losing its conflict with Russia could lead to nothing short of a "Third World War.”
Denys Shmyhal emphasized the urgency of the situation as he implored the US Congress to pass its foreign aid bill for Ukraine, Mirror reported.
The stark message comes ahead of a crucial vote in the US House of Representatives. The bill in question, totaling $61 billion and also encompassing aid for Israel and the Indo-Pacific region, has faced significant delays in Congress.
Opposition from Republican lawmakers, notably Marjorie Taylor Green, has stalled its progress for months. Green has consistently argued against providing further funding to Ukraine.
Despite the obstacles, Shmyhal expressed cautious optimism regarding the bill's passage. He stressed the immediate need for the allocated funds, emphasizing that Ukraine's stability hangs in the balance.
Failure to support Ukraine, he warned, could lead to the collapse of the global security apparatus, potentially catalyzing a cascade of conflicts culminating in a Third World War.
This isn't the first time Ukraine has sounded the alarm regarding the far-reaching repercussions of a potential defeat. President Volodymyr Zelensky previously cautioned that a victory for Russia could embolden further aggression, potentially sparking a wider conflict that could encompass Eastern Europe and beyond.
However, President Vladimir Putin has dismissed such concerns, labeling them as unfounded. Nevertheless, Ukraine remains heavily reliant on international support, particularly from the US and European allies, for its defense against Russian aggression.

Internal discord within the US Congress has exacerbated the situation, causing critical aid to be held up for months. Some Republican lawmakers have objected to the substantial foreign aid package, demanding a focus on domestic issues such as border security.
President Joe Biden has criticized the delays, emphasizing the importance of standing by allies in times of need. He pledged swift action upon the bill's passage to demonstrate unwavering support for Ukraine.

The prolonged delays have left Ukraine at a severe disadvantage on the battlefield, facing a better-equipped and numerically superior Russian military. The recent retreat from strategic positions, such as Avdiivka, underscores the dire need for additional support.
Military leaders and experts warn that without adequate weapons and ammunition, Ukraine's defense capabilities will continue to erode, potentially leading to a catastrophic outcome. Urgent appeals for assistance have been made as Ukraine faces mounting pressure from Russian forces.
