A woman in Utah hit with misdemeanor drug charges in connection with a DUI stop last winter now also faces a felony bribery charge.

Christina Nicole Vanatta, 30, was driving her Jeep along I-80 on Jan. 27, 2021, when she “struck the median and then struck a semi-truck,” Salt Lake City’s KSL-TV reported, citing charging documents.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers noted Vanatta “swayed while standing,” slurred her speech, and had glassy, bloodshot eyes.

When troopers took the woman into custody to administer a blood test, one wrote in a booking affidavit that “she offered me $1,000 dollars to let her go” and “while at the office, she offered to show me and a female trooper her breasts,” Deseret News reported.

According to the charging documents, toxicology test results showed Vanatta had cocaine and THC in her system the day of the crash. Investigators allegedly discovered LSD, marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin, syringes and an empty beer can in her vehicle.

On May 25, Vanatta was charged with soliciting a bribe, a felony, as well as misdemeanor drug possession and DUI, among other charges.
