A Texas woman who was worried about not being able to contact her loved ones for several days uncovered a gruesome finding inside a Texas residence when she conducted a welfare check on her relatives, according to authorities.
On Aug. 14, the relative went to the home in Lewisville and found the bodies of a Hispanic man and woman, according to the Lewisville Police Department.
Police said the dead bodies were located in different rooms of the house and had been there for several days.
KDFW spoke with neighbors, who said there was a distinct smell once the garage door to the home was opened.
Neighbor Danny Talbert told KDFW, “You could stand right here. And when the wind blew, you could smell it.”
On the morning of Aug. 16, Lewisville police announced a man has been arrested in connection with the double murder.
