A Virginia man has been arrested after he allegedly drove into oncoming traffic during an argument, killing his girlfriend and her 5-year-old daughter, according to authorities.
Around 6:30 p.m. on April 5, investigators were called to Montclair regarding a double traffic fatality, the Prince William County Police Department said.
Investigators discovered that a 2007 Chrysler 300 was driving northbound when it crossed into opposing traffic, ramming into a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban, officials said.
The force of the crash was so strong that both vehicles rotated, with the “Chrysler 300 running off the roadway and onto a sidewalk” and the “Suburban came to rest facing southbound traffic,” police said. There were no other vehicles involved in the collision.
According to authorities, a male was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A 33-year-old female, later identified as Dorothy Fontain, was taken to the hospital and died from her injuries the same day. Her 5-year-old daughter, identified as Empress Fontain by WRC-TV, died the next day.
The driver of the Chevy Suburban reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Police announced the driver of the Chrysler 300, 33-year-old Mustafa Nofel Aljazairi, was arrested and charged with two counts of manslaughter and one count of malicious wounding. He is being held without bond.
Officials said neither Aljazairi nor Fontain were wearing seatbelts and Empress was “not properly restrained” either. The victim in the Suburban was wearing her seatbelt.

According to authorities, Aljazairi and Fontain were in the middle of a “verbal altercation” when he drove right into oncoming traffic.
WRC-TV reported that Fontain was the mother of six children, four of whom lived with her in Woodbridge, Virginia.
