Virginia man accused of shooting, killing 58-year-old woman in a home

A 58-year-old woman was shot dead in Virginia, and police say they have arrested the suspect.

Around 1:20 a.m. Nov. 24, deputies from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Dublin, Virginia, home for possible gunshots. When deputies arrived, they found Deborah Reed Griffith, 58, dead in the home.

Police said she died from gunshot wounds.

Investigators determined William Tyler Griffith, 28, was the suspect and he was arrested.

The sheriff’s office did not release a possible motive or what led them to identify Tyler Griffith as the suspect. The relationship between the victim and the suspect was also not disclosed.

Deputies charged Tyler Griffith with second-degree murder. He was taken to jail and is being held without bond.

The shooting remains under investigation.
