Man stabs woman at Virginia outlet mall, tries to flee before cops arrive: report

A Virginia man who stabbed a woman at an outlet mall has been charged with attempted murder, police said
Around 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 28, the Leesburg Police Department received a report that a 27-year-old woman had been stabbed at the Leesburg Premium Outlets.
The caller advised that a male suspect fled on foot, armed with a knife, according to Leesburg police.
Officers immediately responded and found the suspect, Corinthian Witcher, 34. Witcher was taken into custody without incident, police said.
The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where she is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries to her upper body, according to Leesburg police.
Cops determined the suspect and victim knew each other before the attack at the mall.
Witcher has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated malicious wounding. He is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
