Man Accused Of Shooting Teenage Mother To His Child With Infant Nearby: Police

A man in Virginia shot and killed the mother of his child and now faces a murder charge, police said.
Around 1:50 p.m. on Aug. 23, deputies from the Office of the Stafford County Sheriff in Virginia responded to a shooting in a subdivision.
Deputies found 19-year-old Aliyah Henderson in the home with a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s office. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Trevon Vanzant, 21, was also in the home and had a 1-year-old child with the victim, authorities said. Investigators said he shot the teen during a dispute but did not say what it was about.
One of Henderson’s family members and the infant were in the home at the time of the shooting, according to the sheriff’s office.
Henderson was charged with second-degree murder and other counts. He is being held without bond in a Virginia jail.
