Virginia man stabs his father to death during domestic incident, police say
A man in Virginia is accused of fatally knifing his father in a domestic incident, authorities said.
According to the Fairfax Police Department, on May 22 just before 9 a.m., emergency dispatchers received a call for help from a condominium in Reston.
When officers responded to the scene to do a welfare check, they discovered Kenneth Jahelka, 66, suffering multiple stab wounds. He died at the scene.
After a preliminary investigation, the victim’s 24-year-old son, Alexander Jahelka, who was present in the apartment when police arrived, was booked on a second-degree murder charge.
The suspect is being held without bond.
