An argument between acquaintances escalated into a murder case, police said.
On March 13, police in Prince William County, Virginia, responded to a home for a reported stabbing.
Investigators determined that a 27-year-old woman and acquaintance were involved in an argument, according to Prince William County police. The acquaintance was identified as Rollanda Latavia Garrett, 34.
The argument escalated, Garret went and got a knife and then stabbed the victim.
A witness tried to give aid, but medical personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead, according to Prince William County police. The name of the victim has not been released.
Investigators did not say what led to the argument.
Garret was charged with second-degree murder and is being held in jail without bond.
