Elderly California Man, 73, Accused Of Using Walking Cane To Attack 80-Year-Old Brother-In-Law
A 73-year-old man in California was on the lam and faced an attempted murder charge after he allegedly used a walking cane to attack his 80-year-old brother-in-law, authorities said.
Shortly before 3 a.m. on May 30, the two men got into a physical altercation with each other inside the victim’s residence, Lt. Tim Bundy of the Pasadena Police Department said, Pasadena Now reported.
The suspect is accused of allegedly punching the older man in the face and knocking him down.
Police said the suspect then beat the 80-year-old man in the head, face and body with a walking cane while allegedly shouting he was going to kill him.
The elderly suspect then fled the scene.
The alleged victim refused treatment for possible injuries suffered during the altercation.
