A man in West Virginia has been arrested after he allegedly got into an argument about a McDonald’s meal with a woman and then held her hostage, threatening to choke her, according to authorities.
On Sept. 9, deputies were informed that a woman claimed that 30-year-old John Moore was holding her hostage at an apartment complex in Grafton, WBOY-TV reported.
Police went to Moore’s apartment and knocked on the door, but there was no answer. Officers eventually “proceeded to push the door open” and announced themselves as they walked in.
Once inside, they saw the female victim walk out of a door while Moore was right behind her, police said. The woman allegedly yelled at Moore to “get the f*** away from me,” WBOY-TV reported.
Police were able to catch Moore and he was taken into custody.
Officers spoke with the victim, who reportedly said she and Moore got into a fight over McDonald’s. She claimed he was “supposed to bring her back McDonald’s,” but Moore refused because he claimed she was “being a selfish b**** and didn’t answer her phone.”
Moore allegedly threatened the woman by telling her, “I’m going to choke you to f****** death and watch you lay there,” according to WBOY-TV.
He allegedly added, "I am going to put you in the basement and starve you to death while I eat in front of you."

Court records show Moore allegedly held the victim by her neck and ripped her shirt. He allegedly was “restraining her by her neck” while holding her at knifepoint and threatening to “slit your f****** throat,” WDTV-TV reported.
Moore was arrested and charged with kidnapping and domestic battery charges, officials said.
He was booked into the Tygart Valley Regional Jail and is being held without bail.
