A Maryland Man Stabbed His Wife to Death. He Then Put Her Body in a Shipping Container and Tossed It in the Dumpster.
A Maryland man recently was found guilty of the 2019 killing of his wife, whose body has never been found.
Following a five-day trial a jury deliberated for two hours before convicting Jean J. Pierre, 50, of the second-degree murder of 41-year-old Nerlande Foreste, DC News Now reported.
According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, investigators believe Pierre fatally stabbed Foreste on Aug. 21, 2019, in the home they shared in Montgomery Village.
He then, prosecutors claimed, put her body into a shipping container, which he disposed of in a dumpster.
"Several times during [a police] interview, Pierre stated his wife was gone and he wasn't coming back," according to court documents obtained by WUSA. "Pierre continued that we wouldn't find her body...[and] admitted to stabbing his wife, Foreste, and taking her body to the dumpster."
The victim’s remains were never located.
The defendant faces up to 40 years behind bars when he is sentenced for her murder on July 14.
