Police frantically search for baby with medical condition after mom threatens harm during police car chase
A frantic search is underway for a woman and her child in Wisconsin after police had to stop a chase when the mom threatened to harm the newborn.
The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department issued an AMBER Alert for 2-month-old Dorian Giesen and Haley N. Pelot, his mother, on Aug. 5.
Police say they were investigating a child neglect case and when they tried to talk to Pelot, she fled.

Officers gave chase in their car but had to stop when Pelot threatened to harm the newborn.
The child has a life-threatening medical condition that requires medication multiple times a day. Police say they do not believe Pelot has the child’s medication.
Their vehicle is described as a 2002 silver Toyota Camry with a Wisconsin license plate of AHY5345. Anyone with information or who spots the vehicle is asked to call 911.
