A couple in Wisconsin were arrested after they allegedly overdosed on drugs while driving around with their three young kids in the vehicle, according to authorities.
Around 8:20 p.m. on June 2, the Janesville Police Department and Janesville Fire Department responded to a call about people possibly overdosing in a parking garage, according to the Janesville Police Department.
Once at the scene, officers found 31-year-old Demarco Whitby and 26-year-old Ricki Whitby both unconscious in a vehicle, along with three children all under the age of 6, officials said.
Authorities said both Demarco and Ricki operated the vehicle while using heroin, cocaine and alcohol and driving with the children in the vehicle.
Officials said the kids were unharmed and “turned over to a responsible party.”
Both Ricki and Demarco were medically treated and then booked into the Rock County Jail, officials said.
