A Madison, Wisconsin, man stole a pregnant woman’s vehicle and ran over her with the SUV, police say.
The 34-year-old victim told police she was filling up her vehicle’s tires at a gas station when the suspect entered her running car, according to Madison police.
She tried to get him out through the passenger door, but the suspect tried to drive away. The woman held on for a moment, then the suspect ran over her leg, leading to soft tissue damage that required a trip to the hospital, according to an incident report.
The man fled the scene, and police started a manhunt that ran from Feb. 28 until he was arrested on March 10.
The perp has been identified as Andre D. Patton, 39.
His tentative charges include first-degree reckless endangering safety, operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent and a parole violation.
