13-year-old tried tp steal a man's car at a gas station, now the victim is being charged for firing shots

A 13-year-old girl was shot on Friday evening while trying to steal a car at a gas station in Wisconsin, according to authorities.
The man who pulled the trigger on the alleged juvenile thief now faces criminal charges.
Police say a person left a vehicle running and unattended at a gas station at 50th Street and Sheridan in Kenosha, Wisconsin, at around 5:30 p.m. when the young girl “stole the car,” NBC Chicago reported.
While the suspect attempted to drive away from the gas station, police say the owner fired shots at the car, striking her, according to NBC Chicago.
The alleged thief was taken to an area children’s hospital and remains hospitalized.
The girl’s charges will be referred to juvenile court, police said. The adult in the case is in custody on a single charge of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
Police have not released any further information at this time.
