Louisiana Woman Arrested After Video Allegedly Shows Her Throw Puppies in Dumpster: Cops
Two people were arrested in Louisiana recently after they were allegedly captured recently on video dumping two puppies in a dumpster outside a seafood market, authorities said.
St. Landry Parish Animal Control asked for the public's help identifying two individuals seen in security video captured at around 6:30 p.m. on June 2 outside Sebastian Westend Seafood in Opelousas.
In the video, which can be seen here, a woman carries one puppy toward a dumpster as a second puppy walks along behind her.
She throws the first puppy into the dumpster, then picks up the second puppy and tosses it in as well, the video shows. She was accompanied by a man.
On June 4, the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office reported two Opelousas residents had been arrested on animal cruelty charges.
Jasmine Mouton, 22, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.

Her alleged companion, 22-year-old Kendel Tyler, was also arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals, the sheriff's office said.
