A woman in Louisiana was arrested after allegedly beating her 85-year-old grandmother with several different objects, including a back scratcher and picture frame, according to authorities.
On April 4, deputies received a call regarding an elderly woman suffering from several injuries in Ville Platte, according to the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators determined Cecilia Ann Lee, 20, went to her grandmother’s house that night and the two women got into an argument, which allegedly turned physical.
Officials said Lee “struck the victim multiple times in her head, torso, arms and hands with a heavy-duty wooden back scratcher and picture frame.”
Lee then allegedly damaged her grandmother’s phone in order to prevent her from calling for help and vandalized the home before she fell asleep on the couch, police said.
The victim was transported to the ICU in critical but stable condition, officials said.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing.
