An Indiana woman held a man hostage for hours and beat him, police said.
On Sept. 7, police in Mishawaka, Indiana, responded to a home and found a 61-year-old man naked, beaten and wearing a ball gag, according to WNDU.
The man said he received concerning text messages around 2 a.m. from 28-year-old Mariah Conn-Wilhelm. He feared for her, and her 5-month-old son, so he went to check on them.
When he arrived, Conn-Wilhelm got angry and hit him with a frying pan, according to the report. Conn-Wilhelm then called a friend to the apartment.
The two then tied up the man in a rope, chain and hand restraints, the report noted. They put a ball gag in his mouth. They then beat him for two hours with multiple objects.
They also held a gun to his head and ordered him to sell an item and give them the money, according to WNDU.
The man escaped the next day and ran to a neighbor’s house, according to the report.
Conn-Wilhelm now faces several charges, including armed robbery and criminal confinement resulting in serious bodily injury.
