A suspect with an extensive criminal history has been arrested in connection to the murder of a woman found dead in Sandestin, Florida.
The suspect, Storn Royal Thayer, 24, was charged with second-degree murder.
Around 7 a.m. on July 13, a resident living in Sandestin called 911 after discovering a woman in her mid to late 20s gravely injured, according to Walton County Sheriff's Office.
When deputies arrived, they found a deceased woman with multiple stab wounds.
Thayer has a lengthy criminal history to include burglary, grand theft, aggravated battery and child abuse, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
He was released from prison in March after serving time on child abuse charges.
“Tuesday morning, when I heard the name of the suspect, the first thing I said, is I said this back in 2018. I literally said in 2018, that this individual was going to kill somebody,” Walton County Sheriff Michael Adkinson told My Panhandle.
“Not surprised, sometimes high-risk lifestyles can lead to these types of outcomes,” said Adkinson, according to My Panhandle.
