A 26-year-old Florida woman pointed a gun at her boyfriend to try and scare him during an argument, but police say she fired and killed him.
Around 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 4, police said officers received a call regarding shots fired near Sanford, Florida.
At the scene, officials said they found a man dead in the road.
Investigators spoke with witnesses, who said an argument was happening and then a gunshot was heard, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

After the gunshot, witnesses said they could see Natalia Marie Fulton, 26, kneeling next to the victim, Aaron Payne, and “rummaging through the bags next to him” before fleeing the scene, according to the Sentinel.
Around 10 p.m., Fulton was seen walking the streets and police said they later arrested her.
During police questioning, Fulton said she got into an argument with Payne because he was trying to leave with some of her belongings. She tried to get him to stay, but he refused and she claimed he rammed his bicycle into her, the Sentinel reported.
She then grabbed a bag from his shoulder, which fell to the ground, authorities said. Fulton picked up what she thought was a BB gun and pointed it at Payne.
However, it was not a BB gun and when Payne moved his bike toward Fulton, she said it caused her to fire the gun. She checked on Payne and saw a wound in his neck, so she was overcome with fear and decided to take the weapon and flee the scene.
Fulton was arrested and charged with felony manslaughter, police said.
