A New York woman was charged with murder after fatally stabbing her neighbor because he was playing loud music, according to authorities.
Around 2:00 a.m. on March 24, a fight broke out between neighbors Shaun Pyles and Tyquan Pleasant, who had a history of arguing over noise, WNBC reported.
Police said Pleasant, 27, was allegedly playing music and Pyles, 25, allegedly stabbed him in the back multiple times using a kitchen knife.
When police arrived at the scene in the Bronx, they said the victim was unconscious. He was taken to the hospital by first responders, where he died, officials said.
Investigators said they were able to recover the knife Pyles allegedly used in the stabbing.
Another neighbor, Chad Boggs, who witnessed the fight, talked with the New York Daily News and said, “I don’t even know if it was music — I think it was a Disney kids’ show.”
Boggs, who was in the hallway putting trash in the chute, said Pyles came out and started banging on Pleasant’s door before heading back into her apartment, the New York Daily News stated.
Pleasant then came into the hallway and Pyles started yelling at him over her apartment intercom. Boggs said, “(The victim) said he would whoop her ass, and she was shouting (at him) with the intercom,” according to the New York Daily News.
He said Pyles “just opened the door and came straight at him (the victim).” Boggs added, “They were hugging and bouncing off the walls and wrestling and s***. As soon as she stepped away, he went down, boom and he never moved again. Blood was pouring out.”

Boggs then called 911 and started CPR, officials said. Meanwhile, Pyles went back into her apartment and waited for police, who found her sitting on her couch.
Another neighbor told the New York Daily News, “She just went back in her apartment like nothing happened and waited for the police. Now that is a real psycho.”
Pyles was arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter and weapon possession, officials said.
