Two women have been arrested in connection with an October shooting that left a man dead during a robbery.
Carnisha Mathis, 25, and Kendra Johnson, 29, are both accused of being involved in an attempted robbery of a man before he was fatally shot, Local 10 reported.
Saivon Adams, 25, was taken into custody previously in connection with the crime, according to Local 10.
Miami police responded to NW 2nd Avenue around 2 a.m. on Oct. 12 after an alert from the public, Local 10 reported.
Officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced the victim dead at about 2:15 a.m. The death was ruled a homicide, according to Local 10. The victim’s identity was not released.
Miami homicide detectives said that all three defendants were in a white Audi vehicle that slowed down as the victim crossed the street, Local 10 reported.
The vehicle then stopped, and Mathis and Adams began following the victim on foot while Johnson, who the car was registered to, drove around the block, according to Local 10.
Cops say Adams approached the victim, pointed a gun at him and told the man to get on the ground in an attempt to rob him, Local 10 reported.
A struggle ensued and Adams allegedly shot the victim multiple times, according to Local 10.
Police say Johnson then drove back to pick up Adams and Mathis and the Audi fled the scene, Local 10 reported.
All of the suspects are facing several charges, including first-degree murder. They are being held without bond, according to Local 10.
