Three people in West Virginia attacked a homeless man, recorded the incident and shared it on social media, police said.
This week, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Joshua Fortney, Kaiden Pinkerton and Austin Lanham.
On July 10, the sheriff’s office was told about a video on social media. The footage showed a homeless man being “maliciously” beaten and kicked by two men, according to the sheriff’s office.
In the video, the victim could be heard saying, “I didn’t do anything to you,” while trying to run away, according to the sheriff’s office.
One of the attackers yelled, “kick him, kick him” and “kill him” as they beat the victim, the sheriff’s office noted.
The video was posted to Snapchat and Facebook, investigators said.
The three suspects were charged with malicious assault and were booked into a West Virginia jail.
