Police Find Bloody Murder Suspect Holding Knife Over Victim: Report

When police responded to a murder scene, they found a suspect bloody and holding a kitchen knife over the woman he had just killed, according to a report.
Last week, authorities in Braxton County, West Virginia, arrested Rodney Brian Dobbins, 48, and he was charged with murder. He is being held in a West Virginia jail without bond.
On Dec. 12, police responded to a home and found a man with a knife standing next to an SUV, according to WCHS. There was also a woman beside the vehicle covered in blood and unresponsive.
Dobbins had a knife and had blood on his hands, according to the report.
Officers told Dobbins to drop the knife, but instead, he tried to harm himself, according to WCHS. He eventually dropped the knife and was arrested.
The name of the victim has not been released. Authorities have not detailed a suspected motive in the case.
