Shooting In Downtown College Town Leaves 1 Dead, Murder Suspect Arrested

A shooting in the downtown of a college town left one dead and one suspect behind bars.
Police in Morgantown, West Virginia, announced this week they arrested Eric Sneed, 34, in connection to a deadly shooting.
Around 3 a.m. on Sept. 18, Sneed approached a vehicle parked on Walnut Street in the town that is home to West Virginia University, police said. Sneed approached from behind and fired several shots.

The vehicle drove to a nearby hospital. Two people were shot in the rear of the car, police said.
Marcelius Likely, 34, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. An unnamed woman was being treated for her injuries.
A police officer saw the shooting and chased Sneed, authorities said. Officers apprehended Sneed and a gun from the shooting.
He was charged with first-degree murder and is being held in a West Virginia jail.
