WWIII Approaching? Fear Grows Following Russia's Confirmation of 'Successful Ballistic Missile Launch'
Russia has confirmed the successful launch of a ballistic missile amid escalating concerns of a potential World War III outbreak.
President Vladimir Putin has consistently evoked the threat of nuclear conflict since the initiation of the Ukrainian invasion in early 2022.
Confirming the launch, Russia's Defence Ministry announced the execution of a test launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile at the Kapustin Yar rocket launch complex situated in the southern Astrakhan region, the Daily Star reported.
Recent reports indicate Russia's deployment of five of its state-of-the-art hypersonic Zircon missiles in assaults on Kyiv since the year's commencement. The military administration of the city disclosed this development earlier this month.
In October, Russia teetered on the brink of withdrawing from a treaty prohibiting nuclear missile tests, sparking concerns of exacerbating global tensions.
Subsequently, in November, President Putin enacted legislation nullifying Russia's adherence to the international agreement banning such tests.
