Woman charged in connection to double-murder where victims were dumped in a Georgia lake: cops
A woman has now been charged in connection to a case where two victims were found floating in a Georgia lake days within each other.
On Aug. 10, sheriff’s deputies in Troup County, Georgia, responded to West Point Lake after a body was found floating in the lake. First responders recovered the victim and moved the person to the shore.
The victim was identified as Marcus Lee Caswell, 46, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators said Caswell had a single gunshot wound to the head.

The next day, deputies again responded to the same lake after a second body was found floating in the lake. That victim was identified as Travis Michael Lodato, 31. He had at least one gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators said it appeared both victims were put in the lake to try and hide or dispose of their bodies.

Last week, Abbrianna Marie Williams was charged with two counts of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of making a false statement.
Police say they do not expect any more arrests in the case.
